Diario de un náufrago
2004/2009
From 2004 onwards, I continued to collect waste materials and apply them to a new collection of artworks. In it, my attention shifted from writing to exploring the expressive qualities of form, particularly focusing on lines and stains. While seeking poetic elements in the materials I found, I developed a more existential approach (the remains of the shipwreck) and a more metaphysical concern (verses as a channel for thought). I was lost, confronted with a novel situation.
Naked,
swept by the tide,
fate cradles me in its sway.
I survive.
My spirit feasts.
I shape and craft,
weaving with codes both clear
and veiled, mirroring reality’s mystery.
Existence eludes comprehension,
yet I embrace it.
I don’t know the reason for my actions,
yet I execute them.
I write,
unaware of the words I compose.
There are questions everywhere.
