In 2020, during the pandemic and surrounded by “fake news,” I became increasingly concerned about the challenge of discerning the truth from falsehood in the news and understanding the extent of their accuracy.
Throughout history, creating false information for strategic purposes has been a part of politics and communication, with each era utilizing existing technologies for dissemination. What sets our time apart is the global scale and rapid production and spread of these falsehoods.

The project A través de la posverdad (Through Post-Truth) seeks to highlight this phenomenon that is invading our culture and may become a key element in the future of humankind.
On a conceptual level, the project emulates the distorting impact post-truth has on reality. It unfolds as a game in which any concept may be manipulated, transformed, and trivialized to the point of becoming unrecognizable, as reflected in the pieces within this series.

In a post-truth context, meanings undergo fragmentation to then be reassembled in a manner that fundamentally alters the narrative.
The starting point of A través de la posverdad is a phrase, a statement, or an idea embodied in a striking message. This message is then reproduced, fragmented, and randomly repositioned.
